Favela, lawless shantytowns in Brazil, is a hotbed of crime.

However, they are also towns where families live lives and children play.

Even on the place like Favela where the harsh environment rejects outsiders,

the sun rises in the morning.

I wanted to portrait my thoughts for Favela as a one of the places where a child could walk alone under the sun peacefully.

I hope you can see a little boy walking home from school in the picture.

I portrayed whole background of this picture only to portrait the boy.

多くの犯罪の温床となっているブラジルの貧民街Favela.

しかしそのような街であっても他と変わらない多くの家族の日常があり子供が遊ぶ街でもあるのです

外部を寄せ付けない厳しい環境であっても朝になれば全ての人に生命を与える太陽は昇る

私はそんな思いを太陽の下平和の街として一人歩く子供を描きたかったのです

すべてはこの少年を描く為の背景なのです
